We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Assistant Editor to join our editorial team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting our Editorial Leads in the development and delivery of high-quality digital and print training materials for several pharmaceutical and biotechnology brands.
Edit and proofread training materials (including PDFs, e-learning modules, learning assessments/quizzes, videos, and PowerPoint presentation decks) and email campaign correspondence
Apply AMA guidelines and other editorial style guides to content, creating and maintaining style as needed
Fact-check content against primary resources; provide accurate annotations when needed
Review digital and print designs, ensuring accuracy and providing recommendations for improvement
Revise content in Adobe InDesign
Assist in the coordination of editorial projects to ensure on-time, high-quality output
Write original copy using proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure; this includes appropriate reference attribution
Provide support for other projects and initiatives as needed
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in editorial support
Demonstrated proficiency in copy editing, proofreading, and referencing/annotating
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively with team members in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated initiative as a solution-focused self-starter
Experience working in an agency/creative environment required
Understanding of the medical and legal submissions process
Knowledge of AMA style
Experience with Excel, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Teams
Familiarity and/or experience with relevant AI platforms
This is a remote position that will begin as a contract role with the opportunity for full-time employment and a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
