We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Cable/Electronics Installation Technicians to support the full scope of installation projects in large facilities. This technician will be responsible for executing every aspect of low-voltage system installations, from demo/removal of old infrastructure to cabling and final technology integration (touchscreens, TVs, Wi-Fi systems, AV equipment, security systems, etc.).
Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of low-voltage systems and strong familiarity with structured cabling, electronics installation, and basic construction practices.
Responsibilities:
•Remove legacy low-voltage systems and cabling as needed in remodel projects
•Install structured cabling systems: Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, fiber optic, etc.
•Test and certify installed cabling
•Install and mount technology systems, including:
oTouchscreens
oTVs and digital displays
oAudio/visual systems
oWireless access points (Wi-Fi)
oSecurity and surveillance systems
oIntercoms and fire/security panels
•Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings
•Coordinate with other trades and project managers as needed
•Float between job sites in the local area depending on project scheduling needs
Requirements:
•OSHA-10 Certification required prior to start
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in low-voltage installation preferred
•Background in construction or technical trades helpful
•Strong working knowledge of low-voltage systems and cable types (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, coaxial)
•Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
•Willingness to float between projects when needed
•Experience working in schools or large commercial environments
•Familiarity with local and national electrical and fire codes
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
