CNC Machine Operator (Vertical Mill)

Pay: $20-25/hr. +15% for 2nd or 3rd Shift

Shift:

• 2nd = Mon - Thu (1pm - 11pm)
• Ability to train on 1st shift (Mon - Fri - 7am to 3pm)

Description:

• We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set-up and run the Vertical Mill  for a high-tech metal fabrication shop in Hanover, PA.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of proven experience working in a metal shop manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years experience as a CNC Operator and ability to set-up and operate a vertical mill CNC Machine.
• Exposure to Gibbscam or Solidcam is a plus (not required)
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to make decisions

Job Duties:

• Must be capable of utilizing common measurement devices to check part compliance to specifications and read blueprints.
• Must be able to read drawings, including GD&T.
• Must be able to read micrometers, calipers, and other inspection devices.
• Must be able to check parts for accuracy and quality against supplied drawings.
• Provides input to programmers on better ways to produce parts.
• Responsible for production of multiple machines
• Responsible for daily housekeeping of the work area including chip removal and machine internal cleanouts.
• Assist with machine preventative maintenance as needed.
