Description Robert Half has a nexciting opportunity with a catering company in San Mateo who is looking for a highly skilled Events Coordinator. Our client is a small, family-owned catering businesses servicing the greater Bay Area. They have several businesses that have been serving flavorful meals and memorable experiences to clients for years. Our client pride themselves on personalized service, attention to detail, and building lasting relationships with our clients. This role involves full-cycle coordination-from initial booking and client communication to invoicing and day-of logistics. The right candidate will have strong administrative skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for creating successful events. Key Responsibilities + Book and manage events + Invoice clients accurately and ensure timely delivery of invoices + Follow up on collections and payments for events + Provide excellent customer service by answering phones and emails promptly + Communicate professionally with clients to confirm event details, updates, and expectations + Conduct tours of the facility with prospective clients + Maintain and organize multiple event calendars + Coordinate all logistical aspects of events from start to finish + Ensure smooth day-of operations and troubleshoot issues as needed + Utilize Outlook, Word, and Excel for scheduling, documentation, and communication + Maintain proper grammar and a high level of written communication in all correspondence Requirements Qualifications + Previous experience in event coordination, catering, hospitality, or office administration preferred + Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel + Excellent grammar, spelling, and communication skills + Highly organized and detail-oriented + Strong multitasking abilities and time management skills + Comfortable speaking with clients and vendors in person, on the phone, and via email + Professional appearance and demeanor + Able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed + Reliable transportation preferred TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
