This role is a key technical and commercial contributor within the data center solutions space, supporting clients in optimizing their infrastructure while driving sales growth. The Field Sales Engineer will collaborate with sales teams, partners, and clients to deliver practical, innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with customer objectives. This position blends pre-sales technical expertise, project management, and customer engagement, requiring a professional capable of designing, presenting, and implementing solutions for complex systems. With significant domestic travel and remote collaboration, the role offers the opportunity to influence customer success, strengthen partner relationships, and contribute to revenue growth across the region. The Field Sales Engineer will be central to customer-facing meetings, product demonstrations, and design discussions.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide pre-sales technical support and consultation to customers and partners
  • Design and architect solutions for data center power, access, and control products including PDUs, KVMs, hybrid transfer switches, and related technologies
  • Support sales teams in achieving revenue goals, customer retention, and new business development
  • Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations
  • Assist in project management for proof-of-concept and product evaluations
  • Participate in RFP responses, proposal development, and market opportunity assessments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure long-term success
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales support experience in the data center or related hardware industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of data center power, control, and IT infrastructure solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce.com is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically
