Job Description

The base salary for this position is $36.37 hourly.

The Golf Course Mechanic inspects, adjusts, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects of all equipment assigned to the department. Duties include sharpening and height adjustments of all cutting units, general overhaul and maintenance of motors/small engines, prepares requisitions and orders parts/supplies required to perform such repairs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess effective computer skills and will complete assignments efficiently. Previous related experience is required.

Qualifications

Education

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid Hawaii State driver’s license.

Experience

• Experience and knowledge in repairs of small rotary mowers and hand-held equipment, and electrical circuitry.
• Golf course mechanic experience in grinding, sharpening, and adjusting reel mowers is preferred.

Other

• Must have a background and certification in factory-supervised training.
