The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the course's overall condition and aesthetics. This full-time, on-site role, based in the Greater Chicago Area, involves managing turf and landscaping, irrigation systems, pest control, and general maintenance. The position includes supervising staff, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Turf Management and Golf Course Management practices.
- Proficiency in Irrigation system operation and maintenance.
- Experience in Landscape Maintenance and Pesticide application techniques.
- Strong leadership and project management skills to oversee teams and maintenance schedules.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations relevant to golf course operations.
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in golf course maintenance or a similar role is highly desirable.
