This position is responsible for assisting in HR activities and programs under general supervision. Assist with projects/assignments in benefits, compensation, staffing, employee relations, training and development.

Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

  1. Assist with all areas of recruitment (job posting, applications, tracking of applicants & hiring process, pre-employment testing, orientation, etc.
  2. Research, schedule, facilitate, and attend a variety of recruitment events.
  3. Provide assistance to employees and supervisors on a variety of basic policy and benefit questions.
  4. Accurately perform data entry into HRIS.
  5. Prepare and maintain team member files on a daily basis.
  6. Prepare new employee orientation materials/packets and assist with orientation.
  7. Provide support to the Human Resources team in various tasks, duties and special projects.
  8. Answer questions from team members, supervisors, and the general public.
  9. Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

  1. Two-three years working in HR department, clerical or secretarial position.
  2. Excellent interactions skills with employees.
  3. Valid driver's license with a cleaning driving record.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)

1. Associate's Degree in HR field desirable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Strong organizational skills.
  3. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficient math skills.
  4. Ability to demonstrate professionalism, tact, diplomacy and critical thinking skills when dealing with employees and the public.
  5. Ability to work with and assist employees
  6. Able to work independently and under time constraints.
  7. Ability to speak Spanish is a benefit within various regions.
  8. Must maintain confidentiality.
