Job Description

Wareham Ford is looking for an experienced and dependable Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium- and heavy-duty trucks to ensure safe and efficient operation of our fleet.   • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks and trailers
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Troubleshoot engine, transmission, and drivetrain issues
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used
  • Order and replace parts as needed
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet repair deadlines
  • Keep the shop area organized, clean, and safe
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel or truck mechanic (preferred)
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions
