Job Description

Job Summary:

On any given day at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology (DEEP&T), we’re reimagining how to create magical experiences for the world’s most beloved stories — while transforming Disney’s media business for the future. Whether evolving our streaming and digital products in new and immersive ways, powering worldwide advertising and distribution, or delivering Disney’s unmatched entertainment and sports content, every day is an opportunity to make an impact for millions of people around the world.

The DEEP&T Design team thinks beyond what’s possible today. We discover, disrupt, and design for where our consumers will be next. Design brings the Disney magic to life by crafting intuitive, accessible, and delightful experiences across Disney’s portfolio of both consumer-facing products and internal products and tooling—from Streaming, Sports, Entertainment, News and Enterprise Products and Experiences.

Here are a few reasons why we think you’d love working here:

  • Impact – We are shaping the future of Disney Entertainment. Our design and research drive innovation across our entire portfolio, from Disney+ to ESPN and beyond, creating magical experiences for audiences worldwide.
  • Collaboration – Our team includes the industry's most talented designers, researchers, content strategists, design systems experts, UX engineers, and leaders, all working together to push the boundaries of creativity and user experience.
  • Innovation – We pioneer groundbreaking products and techniques that redefine industry standards, transforming how audiences engage with sports, entertainment, and news.

As a Product Design Intern, you’ll collaborate with the very best in product, design and technology to bring user-centered experiences to life. You’ll gain hands-on experience contributing to the design of large-scale, global products that connect people to Disney stories in meaningful ways—learning how to balance business goals, creative vision, and user needs to design experiences that feel effortless and magical.

What You Will Do:

  • Support and apply a user-centered, data-informed design process to understand the motivations and behaviors of Disney’s audiences — designing intuitive, accessible, and delightful solutions that help them meet their goals.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, research, engineering, and product management to explore and develop creative, practical solutions to real user problems.
  • Contribute to user research and usability testing activities — helping translate findings into actionable design insights and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate ideas effectively and gather feedback from peers and stakeholders.
  • Work within established design systems and brand guidelines, ensuring visual consistency and contributing fresh ideas to improve documentation and components.
  • Participate in design critiques and feedback sessions, learning how to iterate on designs based on input from mentors and team members.
  • Embrace iteration, collaboration, and ambiguity, viewing each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow as a designer.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and UX fundamentals including research, ideation, prototyping, and testing
  • Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.
  • Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design intent.
  • Strong visual design sense and attention to detail across typography, layout, and hierarchy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn from feedback and iterate on designs.
  • A genuine curiosity about technology, storytelling, and how people engage with digital experiences.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Product Design, UX Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Visual Communications, Interaction Design, or a related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants:  You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available from M-F, 40 hours each week for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2026 (12 weeks)
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
