**Responsibilities**
**Position Summary:**
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and logistics operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant freight movement. This role coordinates carrier schedules, manages dock activities, and supports administrative functions such as equipment maintenance, inventory support, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.
+ Coordinate carrier schedules and dock appointments to ensure efficient freight flow
+ Communicate with drivers to gather and relay shipment and delivery details
+ Oversee trailer inspections to ensure safety and compliance
+ Initiate and manage outbound shipment pickup requests
+ Process and distribute shipping documentation accurately and promptly
+ Direct dock personnel to maintain smooth and timely shipping operations
+ Prepare and submit customs documentation as required
+ Maintain and organize shipping documentation and office files
+ Ensure barcode scanning equipment is functional and ready for use
+ Support annual physical inventory processes
+ Update freight class data in the JDE system to ensure accurate records
+ Maintain a clean and organized shipping office
+ Perform payroll duties for the department
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping environment
+ Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Excellent communication and customer service abilities
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
