We are currently hiring for a Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Wound Center at UPMC Divine Providence in Williamsport. This is a salaried Wound Care Specialist position with scheduled hours, dayshift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with no weekends or major holidays . Responsibilities:
- Apply the Nursing process to create a healing environment.
- Formulate and communicate patient care plans, involving patients as partners.
- Address clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual patient issues.
- Provide follow-up care for patients post-discharge.
- Use evidence-based practices in patient care.
- Evaluate and recommend products for cost-effective patient care.
- Document patient care to ensure clear communication among caregivers.
- Build and maintain healthy workplace relationships.
- Prevent and address workplace issues like horizontal violence and impairment.
- Balance work and personal life through prioritization and delegation.
- Mentor and support the development of students, new staff, and colleagues.
- Share research and conduct in-services to promote continuous learning.
- Identify and implement opportunities for clinical and workplace improvement.
- Incorporate professional and organizational goals to improve patient outcomes.
- Create compassionate patient experiences by building healing relationships.
- Continuously seek feedback and improve professional practices.
- Serve as a role model and leader in clinical expertise and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in shared governance and hospital-wide councils.
