Training

Children from Black and Global Majority backgrounds face unique challenges, including cultural misunderstanding, systemic bias, and disparity in outcomes. Our training equips foster carers with the skills to:

Celebrate Diversity: Foster children’s cultural identities, boosting their confidence and self-esteem.
Advocate Effectively: Address systemic issues in education, healthcare, and social services.

We offer interactive reflective training, aimed to develop new skills,, increase understanding and confidence and long we support particpantes to develop effective srategies empower, advoate and support young people from diverse backgrounds.

Cultural Mentors

For children in care, having mentors who share and understand their cultural heritage can be life-changing. This program ensures that children:

Have Positive Role Models: Encouraging aspirations and resilience.
Gain Cultural Connection: Maintaining ties to their heritage, even in a different caregiving environment.

We offer cultural mentors to work with families to offer support to address the unique challenges some foster carers and professionals may face when working amd supporting children and young people

Mediation

Mediation is essential in resolving conflicts and misunderstandings that often arise in fostering relationships, particularly when cultural differences are involved. Our mediation services:
