City/State: Burnsville, Minnesota Categories: Support & Facility Services Shift: Ebenezer Job Status: day/evening Req ID: 155026 Pay Range: Ebenezer **Job Overview** Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is part of a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care, and Assisted Living/Memory Care for seniors. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital, conveniently located at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN. **We are looking for a part-time Chef/Cook at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center!** This role is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. This culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our senior residents in our community, Burnsville, MN. This rewarding and stable culinary services schedule for our Skilled Nursing facility includes; + Casual hours every two weeks + To maintain Casual status, employees must be willing to be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month (two shifts must be weekend shifts) and one (1) Holiday shift per year. + Benefits (matching retirement monies) **Responsibilities:** + Ensuring that meals are served and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and customer expectations + Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes + Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards. + Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents + Set up line service + Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use + Assists with special events + Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff **Required:** + ServSafe certification or must be acquired within 90 days of the start date + Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications + Must have good problem-solving and time management skills + Good written and oral communication skills **Preferred:** + Vocational/technical training/education/degree + High School Diploma/GED preferred + High-volume cooking experience in a similar environment + Scratch cooking experience **Benefit Overview** Ebenezer offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
