ABOUT THE ROLE

Artists & Fleas is looking for a Freelance Content Creator to conceptualize and produce high-quality, engaging content for Instagram and TikTok. Responsibilities include content creation at our NYC Chelsea and Williamsburg market locations, video editing, graphic creation, social media community management, and assisting with growing our online brand presence. Successful candidates will possess strong copywriting skills, experience with both posting and optimizing, and a visual eye.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation

• In partnership with the Marketing Manager:
  • Conceptualize, create, edit, and manage compelling photo and video content optimized for Instagram & TikTok
  • Remain up-to-date on current and emerging social, lifestyle/pop culture, and fashion trends; continually provide research results to facilitate the identification of content opportunities and innovations

Social Media Management

• In partnership with the Marketing Manager:
  • Stay up-to-date on new social media tools, content techniques, and best practices
  • Post weekly to both Instagram & TikTok, as well as monitor competitor markets

Critical Skills

• Exceptional organization, communication, and collaboration skills
• Fast learner, self-driven, and naturally curious
• Professional demeanor, demonstrating responsibility and dedication
• A strong love and understanding for all things social media, fashion, and pop culture!

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND AVAILABILITY

• Minimum of 1-2 years in social media (retail preferred)
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience capturing and editing/video for social media
• Experience with TikTok and Instagram platforms
• Experience with Canva and Adobe (a plus)
• Weekend availability to film content at our NYC locations

COMPENSATION

• $20/hour at 10 hours per week; room for hours to increase given business needs.
