RIGHTSTONE IS HIRING! We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Worker to help maintain the appearance, safety, and dignity of our cemetery grounds in Hixson, TN with $19/hr pay for a 6 months contract (temp only). This role is responsible for landscaping, site preparation, and general upkeep to ensure a clean, respectful, and well-maintained environment for families and visitors. APPLY NOW!

Schedule: M- F 8:00am – 5:00pm. Weekends as needed

Dress Code: Work Pants, Shirt, Boots

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain cemetery grounds: mow lawns, trim edges, prune shrubs/trees, rake leaves, and remove debris.
• Plant and care for flowers, grass, and other greenery; maintain irrigation systems.
• Assist with grave preparation, marker installation, and setup of tents/chairs.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely.
• Keep grounds and facilities clean and orderly; assist with repairs and seasonal tasks (snow removal, storm cleanup).

What we’re looking for:

• Ability to safely operate landscaping and grounds equipment
• Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance
• Physically able to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous outdoor work
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and respect for sensitive environments
• Professional, respectful demeanor when interacting with visitors and families
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or cemetery operations
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Pesticide or chemical application certification (state-dependent)
