Part-Time Physician Assistant – Rheumatology Clinic

Location: Nashville, Tn
Position Type: Part-Time
Clinic Hours: 8am to 4 pm
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate  Physician Assistant (PA-C)to join our team on a  part-time basis . The ideal candidate will have an interest or experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related field and a strong desire to work in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical exams
• Assist with diagnosing and managing rheumatologic conditions (e.g., RA, lupus, gout, OA)
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with the Rheumatologist
• Provide patient education on disease management and medications
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Physician Assistant license in Tenessee
• Certification by the NCCPA
• Prior experience in Rheumatology, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty preferred (but not required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• EMR proficiency , Nextgen preferred, and strong clinical judgment
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Schedule:

• Part-time: [3-4 days per week] with potential to progress to full time
• No weekends or major holidays
• NO CALL
• 1-2 days/week of telemedicine (work from home)  after initial training
