Job Description

A Shift Lead is responsible for managing one of the working shifts. Shift leads are responsible for completing the duties of a Baker as well as maintaining store operations, including task instructions, attendance, and store performance. Additionally, their duties revolve around direct reports to the Assistant Manager and Owner/Operator. 

Exceptional communication skills and a passion for excellence are necessary for success in this role. Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Shift Lead Requirements

• Previous leadership experience preferred

• Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills

• Proactive organizational skills

• An eye for detail and accuracy

• Reliable, with a high integrity and strong work ethic

• A team player with the ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

• Professional appearance and attitude

• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products

• Computer literacy

• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods

• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability

• Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment 

• Stand, walk, bend, use hands, appliances, and lift heavy items for an extended period of time
