Fostering in Colour: The Screening
Black History Month 2026 | Honouring Our Communities
We open the month with a screening of Fostering in Colour, followed by an open conversation about what the film raises for us.
The film looks at the experience of Black and global majority children in the care system, and at the carers walking alongside them. Afterwards we talk together about what rang true, what was missing, and what needs to change.
Who it’s for: foster carers, kinship carers, special guardians, adopters, and the social workers and professionals who support them.
What to expect: a screening you can watch from home, followed by facilitated discussion in a space where honesty is welcome. There is no pressure to speak – you are very welcome to come and listen.
